02Tool-free feet

Foot type changed without tools

Feet are swapped by hand, so the tripod moves from soft ground to hard standing without unpacking a tool roll. Footplates, pin sets and tie-down kits are available.

Materials chosen not to deflect a compass

The tripod is constructed to avoid interfering with magnetic instruments, so a bearing taken from an instrument mounted on it can be trusted.
