At 1.4 kg the head is the lightest in the range and still takes 10 kg of payload. It needs no power, so nothing is added to the field load beyond its own weight.

02Axis damping
Viscous damping for smooth manual tracking
Viscous damping on both axes turns a manual head into something that can follow a moving object without overshoot, and it settles the sensor during initial alignment.

03Compass compatible
Built not to disturb magnetic instruments
The head is constructed to work alongside a digital magnetic compass without deflecting it, which keeps a bearing taken through the mount trustworthy.
