Rear Cover for the Air-Conditioning Module of a Transport Case that Becomes a Hood in the Operating Position, and Transport Case Containing the Cover

Abstract

The invention relates to a rear cover (9) for the air-conditioning module (3) of a transport case (1) made up of segments that can be joined end to end, and to a transport case containing this cover. In the transport position the rear cover (9) closes the outer end of the air-conditioning module (3); in the operating position it is held clear of the outer end by a gap (14) on spacer feet (11) and becomes a hood. A divider (10) attached to the inner face of the rear cover (9) bears against the outer end between the intake opening (5) and the fan outlet (6) in the operating position and splits the gap (14) into an inlet zone (15) opening onto the intake and an outlet zone (16) opening onto the fan outlet. Fresh air reaches the intake from the top and sides and hot air is discharged at the bottom; hot air is not drawn back in, the intake and fan outlet are protected from rain, sand and sun, and no separate hood part is needed.
