Abstract
The invention relates to a sealed electronics enclosure (1) comprising an electronics compartment (2) in which electronic equipment (24) is installed, an air-conditioning module (3) forming a closed air circuit with this compartment, and a pressure-equalisation valve (4) that balances the internal pressure with the ambient; to an air-conditioning module for this enclosure; and to a method for drying the air drawn into the enclosure. The inner side of the valve (4) opens, directly or through a duct (5), into the return-air zone (9) upstream of the evaporator coil (7). A control unit (16) detects an intake event showing that air is being drawn into the enclosure through the valve (4) and, in response, runs the evaporator fan (8) and the compressor (13) for a drying period even when there is no cooling demand. The humid intake air is dried on the coil (7) before it reaches the electronic equipment; the condensed water is discharged through the drain line (12).
