Abstract
The invention relates to a vapour-compression air-conditioning module (3) that cools a transport case (1), and to a transport case containing this module. The compressor (13) is suspended from the module body (30) by a cradle (31) that swings freely about a pivot axis (50) located above its centre of gravity; when the case stands on sloping ground, gravity keeps the compressor (13) upright. The swing clearance (32) around the compressor lets the cradle (31) swing at least by the difference between the largest slope at which the case is to operate and the permitted tilt of the compressor. The compressor (13) is connected to the refrigerant lines by flexible pipe sections (33); a transport lock (34) fixes the cradle (31) during transport. A standard compressor thus operates within its permitted tilt on sloping ground without a sensor or motor.
