Mast System That Fits the Guy Rings onto the Right Tube by Itself Using Coded Slots

Abstract

The invention relates to a mast system in which a column (2), extended by adding tubes (3) from below, passes vertically through a head (1). The guy rings (5, 6) wait one above the other on top of the head (1), around the column (2), in the order in which they are picked up. Selected joints (4) of the column (2) carry lugs (8), each assigned to one ring. The bore of each ring has a blind keyway (7), open at the bottom and closed at the top, only at the angular position of its own lug. As the column (2) rises, each lug (8) passes through the rings not assigned to it, enters the blind keyway (7) of its own ring and carries that ring up with the column. The guys are therefore prepared on the ground, and each ring is fitted to its own tube without stopping the column.
